What should I expect during my Thai Element Massage?
The therapist uses their body weight to provide deep rhythmic pressure to muscle tissue.
A re-balancing of the 5 Elements is also created through essential oils and the corresponding element.
Your only job is to relax whilst the practitioner does the work, keeping some form of contact with body constantly using both their hands and their feet.
How does my Thai Element Massage work?
1) Through inhalation you’ll be relaxed by the lovely calming smells.
2) By penetrating the skin and moving quickly into your bloodstream, loosening any muscle pains and working on any suppressed tension you have.
Essential oils can do everything from energize to de-stress or re-invigorate as well as fight common aches and pains, leaving you relaxed, and limber. The powerful physical and emotional relaxation from this treatment has made this our signature massage.
What is good treatment etiquette?
Arriving 15 minutes early will allow you to relax and enjoy our tranquil environment, preparing to make the most of the treatment. Please switch off your mobile phone to avoid being disturbed during your treatment.
Smoking is prohibited in the facility and we advise you to avoid any heavy meals or consumption of alcohol before your treatment.
Are there any health related things I should know about?
If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, allergies, or other medical conditions we advise that you consult your doctor before booking the treatment. Please inform the therapist of any medical conditions and if you feel uncomfortable at any time during the treatment, please let the therapist know.
When should I arrive at the studio?
What if I need to cancel an appointment?
Our therapists and practitioners are compensated based on attendance of treatments and it would not be fair to take a booking away from one of them. For this reason, we are very strict with our cancellation policy as it directly effects our therapists and practitioners. If we allow clients to hold spaces and then waive fees when they cancel, no show, or reschedule under 24 hours, then we are preventing others from booking which prevents increased compensation for our employees. We hope you can respect and understand where we are coming from. 5 Elements Therapy also cannot subsidize these fees either as we want to provide the lowest possible prices for all our clients.

The basic principle of Thai Massage is to start with from the extremities of the body (laterally), work towards the core of the body (medially), and then back to the extremities. This ensures the flow of energy though the energy channels called meridians, and also improve blood circulation throughout the body.

Are your treatments covered by insurance?
Yes, our therapists are Licensed Holistic Practitioners with the City of Toronto. You may have to double check with your insurance provider if Holistic services are covered with your plan.
Do you offer direct billing with insurance providers?
Unfortunately at this time we do not offer direct billing.
Is Massage Therapy Tax Deductible in Canada?
